The Beaches of Menorca
"The best in the Mediterranean" is how the Sunday Times (Nov 2002) described the island's beaches and with over 350 to choose from there must be a beach to suit every taste. There are plenty of beaches within a short stroll or a few minutes drive from the complex.
The nearest is the adjoining beach at Tirant bay and perhaps the most secluded are the twin beaches a few kilometers away at Cavalleria.
In the south of the island is the 7 kilometre long soft sandy beach of Son Bou, the magnificent horseshoe bay at Cala Galdana or the pine clad oasis at Mitjana. All of Menorca's beaches shelve gently into the sea ensuring safety for all, especially children.
Menorca's beaches can be divided into mainly south-facing or north facing. The best rule of thumb is, if you want hot and balmy, go south. If you prefer it less hot with cooling breezes, go north. The choice is yours.
Wherever you 'fall asleep' or 'dip your toes' you will want to come back time and time again. That's the magic of Menorca.
